We thrive on knowing that our work is directly creating something truly valuable, rather than feeling like a small cog in a big machine. We are a small, growing company working and supporting Housing Associations. We build technology that enables our clients to improve the ease of everyday communication with their tenants.

We are a cooperative team of people working together to solve problems from remote locations throughout the UK. We are motivated and nimble, supportive and creative. Our lives are more complicated than the 9-5, so we work flexibly around our needs. Flexibility in the workplace enables us to fit work around life, whether that is spending time on the school run or running up a mountain (or both), and we find this leads to a more relaxed working atmosphere.

"We may currently be small, but in order to grow into the best company we can be, we want to work with a diverse and interesting team. If you are smart, hard working and good at what you do, we want to hear from you."

We may currently be small, but in order to grow into the best company we can be, we want to work with a diverse and interesting team. If you are smart, hard working and good at what you do, we want to hear from you. Whether or not we have the right role for you right now, we always look to create roles for the right people.

Everyone has the right to be treated fairly. We try to put no barriers in place which stops anyone with valuable skills from applying. If you hesitate before applying, and it is something that we can help to resolve we will be more than happy to hear from you. We value diversity and do not discriminate based on race, religion, age, disability, gender and gender identity or expression, marital status, sexual orientation, economic status or parental status.

We are a fully remote company. When we started Housing Online we wanted to bring the best team together and not be location restricted. This has enabled us to choose to work from where suits our lifestyles best, whilst working on the job we love.

We try to make the work environment comfortable and relaxing. We ensure every team member has flexibility around the technology that they use. We will work with you to ensure your workplace is ergonomically suitable. Rather than providing a long list of questionable benefits, we believe in paying people well for the work that they do and offering a place of work that it is fun to be part of. We have a culture where people stop working when they should, and where being away from work is important.

We are looking for people for specific roles at the moment. The work can fit to build on the skills that you currently have, with the chance to develop, train and grow your role as you gain and build knowledge.

Full Stack Developer

Either part or full time work, with flexible hours within a fully remote company.

We need someone who is PHP proficient. Our most important requirement is that you fit happily into the supportive and cheerful culture of our team. We want someone who is curious and can remotely connect and build professional relationships with us.

You will be working as part of a team, most of whom are developers, to build technologies for Housing Associations that support their mission in a cost effective and innovative way.

Although not a requirement, any experience in HTML5, MySQL JavaScript or CSS/SCSS would be useful. Other technology skills which would interest us include AWS, Google Maps, RESTful APIs, Git, especially Gitlab, PSR-7 framework familiarity, Twig templates and Linux.

We are looking for the person who fits, so a range of experience levels will be considered, and training will be made available where necessary. Your level of pay will be competitive based on the skills you start with. One of our key company values is to pay fairly and we will hold ourselves to that promise.
